Our clinic Christmas opening hours
To help you prepare for the Christmas season, here are some helpful tips so you can plan ahead now and then get on with enjoying the holidays!
Our Lyme Disease Clinic will close for Christmas at 5:00pm (GMT) on Monday the 14th of December 2021 and will re-open at 10:00am (GMT) on Monday the 4th of January 2021.
Please see below the information below regarding our services to support you up and what to do before we close for Christmas.
Need an appointment?
If you would like to make an appointment to see one of our Lyme Team before Christmas, please call this week as we only have a few remaining spaces.
Please call us on +44 (0)20 3095 0009 to book your appointment. Our team will be able to look at the diary immediately and book a date and time to suit you.
If there are no appointments remaining when you call, we will book you for the first available appointment in the New Year, 2021.
Need a blood test?
Our Lyme nurse will be conducting bloodwork on:
- Monday 7th December – morning only
- Tuesday 8th December – morning only
- Monday 14th December – morning only
- Tuesday 15th December – morning only
These are set dates and times because our diagnostics (bloodwork etc.) is flown from the UK to a lab in the USA on a same day flight by a medical courier. In order to ensure the blood sample does not expire before it reaches the lab, it needs to be taken in the morning on the dates above only.
Please call us on +44 (0)20 3095 0009 to book in your blood work with one of our Lyme nurses.
Do you have enough medication for the Christmas period?
As you know, having enough medication to last through the Christmas period is of utmost importance to ensure that you maintain your treatment protocol plan and continue on your path to wellness.
Please ensure you have calculated that you have enough medication or MakeWell products to last, and if you feel you are running low please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org with a list of what medications you need.
- Your full name
- Date of Birth
- Name of the Medication
- Dosage Strength
We will then package and post your prescription to you before we close for Christmas.
Please be aware that it takes time for us to fulfil a prescription. A doctor will need to consult your record before approving the prescription renewal, so do not leave it until the last day that we close to request your medications.
If you do not manage to email us your prescription before Monday December 14th 2020, then we will ensure that it is one of the first prescriptions we process when we are back in the clinic in the New Year.
When we re-open on Monday January 4th at 9:00am we will work throughout our first week back to clear the backlog of any prescription requests we receive whilst we are closed.
In an Emergency
If you are in need of urgent medical assistance whilst we are closed, please call either your local GP/medical doctor, dial 111 (if in the UK), go to A&E, or dial 999 Emergency Services (if in the UK) depending on the severity of your symptoms.
If after seeing your GP or healthcare provider, you are still needing urgent support, please email us at email@example.com with an email marked ‘urgent’ and we will respond as soon as possible.
Please note that our email inbox is not manned full-time over the holiday period and therefore we will only respond to emails whose content is genuinely ‘urgent’ and of immediate health concern to us and to your GP.
Book your 2020 doctor appointment now!
Our appointment bookings for January and February are already filling up! Remember we have fewer appointment slots per day because of our work in keeping you socially distanced from other patients and as safe as possible from Covid-19.
Call us on +44 (0)203 095 0009 to book your appointment, or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org between December 15th 2020 and January 3rd 2021 with your appointment request and we will contact you and book you in as soon as we get back in the New Year.
Last but not least…!
On behalf of Dr Berkowitz and all of us here at the Lyme Disease Clinic in London, UK would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and may 2021 be a Happy and Healthier New Year for you all!
